Head to the southern tip of Bali to Uluwatu for a heady mix of culture and beachy vibes. Mount Batur

A sunrise hike up Mount Batur is one of the best things to do in Bali. Fill your lungs with fresh air. Jatiluwih

The Jatiluwih rice terraces are most famous for their dramatic and exotic landscapes. The highland scenery of this village at the foot of Mount Batukaru is completely instagrammable and gives you a break from the island's crowded south. The rice terraces comprise over 600 hectares of rice fields that follow the flowing topography of the mountain ranges. History enthusiasts may be interested in knowing that these are maintained by a traditional water management cooperative known as subak, which dates back to 9th century. The cooperative itself eventually won recognition as a dominant factor in Bali's 'cultural landscape' entry on the heritage list. A visit to this palace will help us to redefine the word Green. Munduk

Long before its days as a tourist destination, local believed that it was inhabited by the dark spirits that the priests in Bali had banished. There are temples on the island that attest to this. How could deer reach an island? That is the mystery that surrounds West Bali National Park's deer! Popular belief says that they crossed over from Java, although there is not much evidence. Home to over a hundred species of wildlife, the national park is best known as the sanctuary of the exotic white Bali Starling , an endemic iconic bird of the island of the gods.
